WHAT IS mindfulness?
Mindfulness is about paying complete attention in the present moment, whatever you may be doing. It's the ability to be fully aware of what you are doing and where you are. During Mindfulness, there's no right or wrong. Mindfulness is about kindness, curiosity and acceptance. It's about accepting whatever you may be feeling while focused on the here and now.
WHAT IS noT mindfulness?
Mindfulness is not meditation and also not miraculous. Don't expect magical results. It's not about judgements, but kindness. Mindfulness is also not about feeling good, because it's about accepting your thoughts, including unpleasant ones. Mindfulness is also not about accepting what's inacceptable, but seeing the world with more clarity so you can make better decisions on what you want to change.
before practicing, be warned
Mindfulness CAN cause panic attacks, unpleasant sensations and other undesired consequences. Consult a licenced professional before practicing. Practice at your own risk.
